Booking terms and conditions

All animals will be cared for in a safe and secure environment and treated with the utmost love and respect. They will be given fresh food and water everyday with daily spot cleans and weekly complete cleans (or more as required.) They will also be played with and handled daily unless otherwise advised/not appropriate. We ask that you provide enough dry food to cover the duration of your pets stay with us as a change to this can upset their stomachs (and we don't want that!) Birds, hamsters, gerbils and rats should come to us in their own cages (of a practical size please!) as they can be quite sensitive to a change in their accommodation. We will supply cages for rabbits and guinea pigs (Ferplast 120cm plus time spent in a run everyday).

By booking with us you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Little Squeaks Boarding reserve the right to refuse any pet that shows any signs of illness, disease or injury.

  2. Any medical needs MUST be disclosed and discussed at the time of booking (or as soon as they arise thereafter) and steps to handle these agreed in writing with Little Squeaks Boarding.

  3. If your pet becomes ill whilst staying with Little Squeaks Boarding we will inform you or your emergency contact number immediately. However, if we are unable to contact you and your pet requires urgent veterinary attention we will take them to our local vet (Ashworth Vets, Fleet) and we will be guided by what the vet thinks is best for the animal. All vet consultation and/or treatment costs will be charged to you as the owner of the animal.

  4. Birds should be kept indoors for the two weeks before their stay with us. We are currently taking the precaution of only boarding one set of birds at a time.

  5. Little Squeaks Boarding accepts no liability for the death of a pet in our care as whilst they stay with us they will be in a safe and secure environment. If your pet sadly passes away whilst with us we will contact you first (then your emergency contact if there is no response) to discuss your wishes for your pet.

  6. All payments for boarding must be made in full by bank transfer before or cash on the day or arrival. We do not accept animals without payment.

  7. Our daily boarding rate includes the day your pet arrives with us and the day that they depart no matter what time in the day it is. Time of arrival and departure must be given when booking. If you cannot make the collection/pick-up time please contact us as soon as possible and we will try our best to arrange another time suitable. If you do not collect your animal on the day stated you will be charged the daily fee for every day you are over. If you do not collect your pet within 14 days without reasonable contact we have the right to try and rehome them and will seek to recover any costs/expenditure from you using legal means if necessary.

  8. If you collect your pet before the agreed date when booking you are liable and will still be charged the full boarding costs.

  9. Our costs include bedding (for guineas and rabbits), hay, fresh fruit and vegetables (but not daily dry food).

  10. All rabbits must vaccinated against Myxomatosis, Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD1 also known as VHD) and Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease 2 (RHD2). Please allow at least two weeks between them receiving their annual vaccinations and boarding to allow their immunity to develop. Please bring their up to date inoculation certificate with you on check in day (otherwise they will not be allowed to board).

  11. We will always let you know that your pet has settled in. We will do this by text or email usually a day or two after they have arrived. Depending on how busy we are and length of stay we will also send you a further update and may post pictures on our Facebook page of them enjoying their stay (unless you would prefer we didn’t – please advise if this is the case.)

If you have any questions regarding the above or indeed anything else please do not hesitate to contact us! We want you to feel happy and confident leaving your pet with us!
